What do I use to save my angelfish?
I have two freshwater fish tanks, both of them are 20 gallons. In one, I have a pair of angelfish, because they lay eggs and the other fish always eat them. The other tank has 5 glowlight tetras, 4 red eyed tetras, 2 gold barbs, and 5 zebra danios. I just moved the angelfish in with them, so that the new angelfish fry that I have can eat brine shrimp without the parents eating them up first. The angelfish fight each other constantly when they have fry, and this time, it's particularly bad. The female's bottom lip is completely torn up, and she can't close her mouth properly. I think she's getting an infection, too. What do I do?Actually, now that I moved them into another tank where they can't see their fry, they have stopped being aggresive and are now elegant little pancakes swimming around in the water. New (young) veiled angelfish having trouble swimming?
I have two in a 20 gallon tank, very small, the guy called them nickel sized. I got them yesterday and when I try to feed them, they can't or won't swim to the surface to get it. The filter Penguin power filter model 100 pushes the food to the bottom, but I don't think they realize that its in the gravel, or at least I don't see them finding it. My friend gave me TetraMin tropical flakes do I need a different type of food? And should I feed them once or twice a day?Also, on a side note the guy at the store said that they keep the fish in tap water treated with anti chlorine I used Jungle Start Right when I started the filter a week ago . Do I need to do any more other than weekly water changes to keep them healthy?I looked it up and I can't tell anything about grams but it does say that the model 100 has a flow rate of 100 gph. Is that too much?
Would a marbled angelfish get along with a black lace one?
A pair of angels. In a big enough tank. Thank you very much.But would they? Or does it matter? Do they like not care? Or do they think no, they need others of the same coloring? Because some fish do that. We don't want aggressive fish.And how do you tell if its a male and female?

I took back my angelfish and my neon tetras are STILL disappearing?!?!?
So i had angelfish and since they eat neon tetras in the wild i took them back and got a sunset platy and a paint mix platy which are very peaceful and got another tetra to replace the one that got eaten by the angelfish. Now my pictus spotted Catfish is being VERY territorial. But then again i have a Chinese algae eater who might have sucked the slime off of the fish and let the catfish eat the body. Those are my only 2 suspects. I know my 2 platy's didnt do it and my mollies didnt do it and the remaining now 4 neon tetra school didnt do it. I even checked behind the plants under the gravel inbeetween plants and in the filter but the body is gone. Its either my cae or my pictus spotted catfishThis isnt the first time it happened its actually the 3rd can somebody tell me who it is so i can take it back to the petstore ??

Last night I had a Bunch of baby fry in my angelfish tank, this morning I only have a few. I have a sponge on the filter. The few baby fry i have, the parents keep putting them in there mouth and spitting them out. I understand that their doing that to clean them and what not..... but where are all the other fry at??
Why does my angelfish get excited when she sees me?
Either when I wake up, walk up to her, or enter the room, my angelfish comes to the front of the tank and starts swimming back and forth and sometimes she'll twitch when I lean down to look at her.Is this because she thinks she's getting fed or she likes having company?

King betta and angelfish together?
I know you can't keep a regular betta and angelfish together because the angel is so much bigger. But what about a king betta they are said to get 2 to 3 times the size of a regular betta and much thicker so a i doubt a angelfish would bite of more than it can chew by attacking the king betta. So my question is do you think they could get along in a tank.

I just set up a 110gallon freshwater tank and I have angelfish, 2 gouramis, 2 plecos, and a red tail shark. I want more fish what would be good with the fish i have already? I like fish that grow larger but I will put smaller fish in if there aren't any larger fish that go with them. please be specificThe fish are currently in a 10 gallon tank but they are starting to grow the tank out and we set the tank up last weekend and we are planning on messing with the ph this weekend before we add the fish in there
Gourami...Angelfish...oh no...?
So basically I have 2 honey sunsets, which are GORGEOUS, and healthy. I love those little guys. But I recently got a black and silver angelfish, about the size of a quarter, and basically he himself is extremely healthy as well. He eats, though he is very picky about the quality of food. he loves when i mash up the cichlid red pellets so that he can get a lot t a time. His mouth is tiny....hahaha. BUT he is very prone for his fins being nipped, and I thought gourami's like these types were calm and non aggressive...? These gouramis are about a quarter and a nickel big. BUT I dont get this..angelfish are supposed to be aggressive? Ahhh. i really dont like seeing my gouramis nipping at my angelfish..haha. What if I got a bigger...silver dollar sized angelfish, and returned the small one...?I have a 48 Gallon
