What fish will go well in a 20 gallon (long) angelfish tank?

Question: What fish will go well in a 20 gallon (long) angelfish tank?

I have two angel fish in it currently. they are still young only two or three inches tall. i was wondering what can i put in the tank that won't harm or crowd them but can also make my tank look better. i also have three cory catfish in the tank.

20 gallon tanks are not suitable for angelfish. Especially not the long version. The angelfish will get TALL, and that tank is not going to work in the long run. If you plan on upgrading however, then just be prepared to get a 40g normal or tall tank. Right now, just stick with the bottom feeders. The angelfish can and will nip at things, and I've heard of them eating neon tetras whole (of course, the angelfish were much larger) You can try to find these really cool bottom feeders called Kuhli Loaches. They look like worms/ snakes, and are really neat to watch. Just have some plants for them to hide in/ near.

Rams and gouramis do well with angels. Browse for "Community tank aquarium ". Don't add too many fish to what's in it now. Depending on size- maybe 2 rams or gouramis, small tetras say neons or cardinals, about six as they are schooling fish. Good luck, it's a great hobby.

I think you should add a school of Black Phantom or Diamond tetras, or maybe a school of emperor tetras would look great with slow methodical swimming of your angelfish. However, you should be ready to move your angels real soon because they will get to be too tall for you 20 gallon long. But, the tetras that i've suggested don't nip fins and they get to be too big for your angels to consider them as food. Good Luck!!
