It may have been attacking each other. When I first got my Angelfish (2 of them), they did well together for the first couple of months. Then one day I came home and noticed one looked beaten up. Over the next couple of months, they beat the crap out of each other. The smaller of the two was almost killed, but to my surprise, they were pairing off. After the first 2 months they became a pair, they stopped fighting. They will peck each other bit but that's about all. The Angels you have may be doing the same, or fighting over territory. Smaller fish usually never challenge an Angel, so I wouldn't think it would be the smaller fish. It is probably the Angels duking it out. If they are together, there is really no way to avoid this. The only infection that usually wears down fins, is fin rot. Unless, it is also on the other fins, it is probably not fin rot. |
